Ian’s Insight

As some of you are aware December will be Chris Williams last month working for Conçerva. Chris founded the company around 20 years ago, laying the foundations for the successful organisation we are today.

Due to the condition that affects his sight slowly worsening, Chris has gradually been taking a backseat in the day to day operations of Conçerva. Since 2016, I have been in the hot seat as Managing Director, taking over the role Chris once held. Chris has also been hard at work ensuring his clients are looked after by other advisers within the firm who can all provide the same level of exceptional care he strived to deliver.

Chris will now be splitting his time in retirement between Abersoch and Prestbury. I am sure he will have no problems finding things to pass the time!

His presence on the team will be missed and everyone here wishes him nothing but the very best for the future.

Staff Matters

  • This month just gone has seen a spate of exam results come through for some members of the team.
  • Lauren Emmett has passed the R01 Financial service, regulation & ethics unit while Adam Robinson also passed his R04 Pensions and retirement planning unit.
  • However, not to be outdone, Chris Gregory received the results of the AF5 Financial planning process exam he sat back in October. The pass he achieved now means he is eligible for Individual Charted Status from Conçerva’s professional body and more importantly for him personally, no more exams for a while!
  • After a busy year, everyone at Conçerva are looking forward to some time off over the holidays to recharge ahead of the return to work in 2020.
  • As a result our offices will be closed from 5pm 23rd December 2019 and will reopen at 8.30am on 2nd January 2020.
